Again keep things simple (19-08-26)
Many questions are about medicine and supplements. My idea to a Dutch fancier:
In your pursuit of better performance, you overdo it with supplements and perhaps also medication. I get questions from everywhere. Some are difficult to answer, fortunately not all:Without even realizing it. What you give the youngsters extra is more disadvantageous than beneficial. Many make that mistake and I regularly receive grateful emails from Dutch and Belgians who followed my advice. They stopped all those supplements completely and only gave the necessary medication. Performance improved immediately. Young pigeons need light food, an occasional cure against tricho, grit and minerals.
LAZY
Those supplements make the pigeon's body lazy. After all, it produces the carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and so on that it needs themselves. By administering them artificially, the organs stop producing them. The metabolism gets confused. Antibiotics, on the other hand, undermine the resistance. 'Keep it simple', say the champions here.
In this way you make the sport cheaper and the performance improves.
IMPORTANT RULE: You have to give the pigeons what they need but DON'T GIVE what they don't need.
